Made my way around the country from the twincities to Mississipi back up to Fargo where I was the last 7 years until May when I knew it was time to come back home to the beautiful capital city!
I love different types of music but my main preference is rock & country. How could I not love country music? I grew up listening to Marty Robbins & Willie Nelson thanks to mom & dad!
Thanksgiving is all about eating, but when you actually stop and think about the amount of calories a person consumes in the epic meal, it might make you think twice about seconds on the stuffing and gravy!
Check out the amount of calories there are in a serving of the average Thanksgiving dish:
All of this comes to a total of 2,335 calories, which doesn't seem that decadent when you consider the average person consumes about 2,000 calories a day, but that's if you stick to the exact serving sizes. Most people are eating double and triple servings of their favorite sides.

A couple of years ago the burrito chain restraurant, Chipotle, released a short film featuring Willie Nelson singing Coldplay's "The Scientist" with a very strong message about only serving fresh food and continuing to support farmers around the U.S. Now they've come out with a new haunting short film featuring Fiona Apple singing "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The film will tug at your heartstrings in their attempt to help educate people on making smarter decisions when it comes to the food they buy & consume. Now as I've seen many going off about how McDonald's ownes Chipotle and they have a sketchy past...blah blah blah...really I give mad props to your advertising team...genius!! Enjoy the Chipotle short films below...

Who's ready for winter?? You may not like talking about it yet but if the Farmer's Almanac keeps with the trend of correct forecasts...we're in for a collllld winter!! Sorry folks:(
Get ready to bundle up! The 200-year-old Farmer’s Almanac says we’re in for a bitterly cold winter, with below-average temperatures in two-thirds of the country. The almanac adds that the coming winter could bring a blizzard to the first outdoor Super Bowl in years.
Managing Editor Sandi Duncan says, “We’re using a very strong four-letter word to describe this winter, which is C-O-L-D.” Predictions are based on the same analysis of sunspots and tidal action since the first almanac was published in 1818. Forecasts are claimed to be correct 80 percent of the time.
